Returns Policy

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, we are here to help.Here are a few FAQ to make your shopping experience more enjoyable.

Do I get a refund?
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

The item must be in its original packaging and needs to have the original receipt or proof of purchase.

Please ensure the item is packed in the package it was received in and that it is easily identifiable with the inclusion of the order number associated with the item.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item.

We will notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a credit to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain number of days depending on your card issuer’s or banks policies., we cannot refund you in cash.

Are shipping costs refundable?
You will be responsible for shipping costs of the returned item. Shipping costs are non refundable
What is a defective product?
A “Defective Product” is when the item contains a material imperfection in the manufacture or design, which makes the item less acceptable, useful or safe than reasonably expected.

An item is deemed to be in a defective condition if it is dangerous to the user, when used in the prescribed way or purpose for which it is intended.

The item must be defective in itself and not due to inappropriate use.

When returning an item, the customer must provide full reasons why alleging that the item is defective, including how it was used while in the customer’s possession.

You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the day you received it.

Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. The item must be in its original packaging and needs to have the original receipt or proof of purchase. The item must be returned to African Outdoor and can be returned for one of the following three reasons: unwanted, damaged or defective.

If a return is eligible for a refund, it will only made back to the payment method that you originally used.

Process

Please ensure the item is packed in the package it was received in and that it is easily identifiable with the inclusion of the order number associated with the item. Please ensure that the product is packaged safely and securely for full protection during transit. Please include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product. Failure to do so, could delay the processing of the request, or result in its decline altogether.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a credit to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain number of days depending on your card issuer’s or banks policies. We cannot refund you in cash. You will be responsible for shipping costs of the returned item (unless it was damaged at delivery or defective). Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Unwanted Products

You can only return an unwanted product to us provided that the following are adhered to:

• The item is undamaged and unused, with all original labels still attached.
• It is in its original packaging which must be undamaged, in its original condition, and with all seals still intact.
• The item must not be missing any accessories or parts.
• The item must be returned within 14 days of receiving it.

You will be responsible for shipping costs of the returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Within 10 business days of inspection and validation of the returned item, your account will be credited, or you will be refunded.

Damaged Products

Should an item be damaged or missing any parts at the time of delivery, please notify us by email within 5 days of such delivery. We will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have received the damaged product back, we will inspect it. If the return is validated, we will at our choice repair or replace the item (if we have stock) or credit your account or refund you. Credits or refunds will take place within 10 business days of inspection and validation.

Defective Products

Standard Warranty

If your product is defective, please notify by email us as soon as you become aware of the defect but within 6 months of delivery. We will arrange to collect the defective product from you at no charge. Once we have received the damaged product back, we will inspect it. If the return is validated, we will at our choice repair (if possible) or replace the item (if we have stock) or credit your account or refund you. If there is no extended supplier warranty period, we cannot facilitate returns that fall outside of the 6-month period. Credits or refunds will take place within 10 business days of inspection and validation.

Extended Warranty by Supplier

A product may have a supplier warranty that extends beyond our standard 6-month warranty. If such a product is defective, please notify us as soon as you become aware of the defect but within the supplier’s warranty period. We will arrange to collect the defective product from you at no charge. Once we have received the damaged product back, we will send it to the supplier for inspection. Please note that it will be at the supplier’s discretion as to what remedy they can offer you. African Outdoor is under no obligation to repair or replace the item or credit your account or refund you as the remedy lies with the supplier.
